Surrendered at three weeks old when her bottle-feeder lost interest. Now leads the morning march to pasture and considers herself the manager.

Pulled from a commercial depopulation. Came nearly bald. Now fully feathered, fully retired, and lays one impossibly perfect brown egg every Sunday.

Found cast in a roadside ditch during an ice storm. Took two months to trust hands. Inseparable from Clover ever since.

The runt of a litter no one wanted. Sleeps with a stuffed bear. Will steal your sandwich if you sit on the porch with one.
